Our Programs
What We Fund. What We Build. What We Do.
Friends of Hancock runs four core program areas — all focused on giving Hancock students and families the support they deserve.
Putting resources where students need them most.
We fund classroom supplies, enrichment activities, and academic resources that go beyond what the school budget can cover. From art materials to science lab supplies to college-prep resources, we make sure no student goes without the tools they need to succeed.
- Classroom supply grants for teachers and departments
- Enrichment activity funding for clubs and programs
- College-prep and scholarship application support
- Recognition programs for student achievement
Every family, informed and connected.
We believe that when families are engaged, students thrive. Our bilingual outreach, workshops, and events are designed to make every parent and guardian feel welcome, informed, and empowered — regardless of language, schedule, or background.
- Bilingual newsletters and communications
- Parent workshops on college prep and financial aid
- Back-to-school orientation and welcome events
- Translation and interpretation support at key events
Celebrating Hancock and bringing the neighborhood together.
From back-to-school nights to community fairs to end-of-year celebrations, we organize and support events that bring the entire Hancock community together. These events build school pride, strengthen relationships, and create memories that last.
- Annual back-to-school welcome events
- Community fairs and neighborhood outreach
- Student achievement celebrations
- Fundraising events and community gatherings
Local businesses investing in the next generation.
Our Friends Circle program connects local businesses and corporate partners with meaningful opportunities to invest in Hancock students. Through sponsorships, in-kind donations, and event partnerships, businesses become visible champions of our school community.
- Event sponsorship packages at multiple giving levels
- In-kind donation opportunities for goods and services
- Recognition in newsletters, events, and social media
- Direct connection to the Hancock community
